Project Notes:

Across Northern Nigeria, many displaced Christian families are struggling to survive after fleeing violent attacks. Their pain is real, their needs are urgent, and their voices deserve to be heard.

Daniel Oduma is the organizer of this fundraiser.

In the quiet village of Gwoza, little Miriam used to wake up to the sound of church bells and her mother’s singing. But one night, everything changed. Jihadist attacks forced her family—along with hundreds of other Christian families—to flee with nothing but the clothes they wore.

Now Miriam sleeps on a cold classroom floor in an IDP camp, clutching the small wooden cross her father carved before their home was burned. Every day she asks the same question: “When can we go home?” And every day, the adults struggle to find an answer.

Food is never enough. Clean water is a blessing. Many children haven’t been to school in months. Yet, even in their pain, they still gather to pray for peace, for safety, and for someone—anyone—to remember them.

Their story is a reminder that these families desperately need help. A small act of support can become the hope they hold onto in a world that has taken so much from them.
